Anti-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Policy

Policy Statement
Performance Now Theater Company (PNTC) is committed to creating and sustaining a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all individuals engaged in its work. PNTC values diversity in all its forms and affirms that discrimination and harassment are inconsistent with our mission, values, and artistic practice.
PNTC does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion or creed, age, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

PNTC is an equal opportunity organization. All decisions regarding hiring, casting, promotion, compensation, training, termination, and participation in programs shall be made without unlawful discrimination and based on merit, qualifications, and organizational needs.

Harassment and Retaliation
Harassment, including verbal, physical, visual, or written conduct that demeans or shows hostility toward an individual based on a protected characteristic, will not be tolerated.

Retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination or harassment in good faith, participates in an investigation, or exercises rights under this policy is strictly prohibited.

Reporting and Resolution
Individuals who believe they have experienced discrimination, harassment, or retaliation are encouraged to report the concern promptly. Reports may be made to:

The Board President or a designated Board officer
Reports will be handled as confidentially as possible and investigated promptly and fairly. PNTC will take appropriate corrective action if a violation of this policy is found.

Accountability
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, removal from the Board, termination of contracts, or exclusion from PNTC activities, as appropriate.
Board Responsibility and Review
​
The Board of Directors of Performance Now Theater Company is responsible for oversight and enforcement of this policy. This policy shall be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable laws and alignment with organizational values.
